Bluehawk is actively seeking a Targeting Analyst to join Space Pancake. As a Targeting Analyst will research and develop targeting packages addressing unknown intelligence gaps for future MASINT technical collection capabilities levied against ST (DIA’s Science and Technology Directorate) R&D system(s). Conducts analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. Conducts all-source analytic production of foreign space capabilities including, but not limited to, foreign adversary space doctrine, strategy, communications and collections, vulnerabilities, platforms, assembly and launch capabilities, weapons, dual-use systems and technologies, and emerging space technologies. Works with engineers and scientists on foreign space capabilities. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop targets and target systems for joint lethal and/or non-lethal engagements.
  • Develop target nominations, create database records, and database target intelligence products.
  • Produces all-source analytic damage assessment and assists with combat assessment requirements and will conduct collateral damage estimation, perform target list management, target strategy development, and provide joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
  • Provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations, as well as provides database nominations, creates and updates databases, and uploads TM into databases. 
  • Shall have a demonstrated track record of supporting collection management for an intelligence agency and have a working understanding of Capability Gap Analysis and Materiel Solutions Analysis IAW CJCSI 5123.01H and DOD 5000.02.

  • Apply critical thinking to independently (i.e., without supervision) analyze data collected by our sensors and fuse them with data from various classified intelligence reporting from different intelligence disciplines (SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, MASINT, OSINT) to create all-source derived-target packages for future collection operations and MASINT reports that our division publishes on JWICS for the entire US Intelligence Community’s and DOD’s consumption.
  • Must be proficient at searching for target information from open-source media sites and correlating them with related intel reporting on SIPRNET and JWICS to build a target package.

  • Must be able to generate graphics and charts as required in intelligence reports that we produce. 

  • All-source strategic written analysis .
  • Targeting analysis from an all-source perspective.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience
  • The last 2 years direct related targeting experience 
  • Experience with Finished Intelligence Products (DIA tradecraft and writing style highly preferred)
  • Experience with tools HOT-R, CHROME, Intellink, i-Spy, MIDB (Modernized Intergrated Database)
  • Space exprienced highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
  • Experience with briefing senior decision-makers
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
  • Demonstrates understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations to include:
    • Technical sensors/platforms
    • Human intelligence sources
  • Proficient in basic office environment tools (Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer or Mozilla

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly or willingness to submit for a  CI Poly
