Bluehawk, LLC. is seeking a Network Specialist - Level 3 in Tampa, FL (2191)

 

Position also available in Colorado Springs, CO.  (2192)

 

Responsibilities

Network Specialist will upgrade IOS devices and administer GEM-X encryption management software. The successful candidate will be responsible for upgrading all Cisco IOS devices and ensuring remote administration of all encryption devices in GEMX. Candidate must be able to remotely administer Cisco devices and company encryptors with the ability to accurately track and report progress weekly.

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Extensive experience upgrading Cisco IOS; Juniper experience is a plus
  • GEM experience for monitoring and configuration of crypto equipment; extensive crypto experience may be substituted
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CISCO and Juniper routers and switches
  • Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience
  • Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures
  • Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability
  • Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting
  • Experience with WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192)
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment
  • Lead IOS upgrade project and GEMX remote management as tasked by management
  • Interface with vendors to ensure proper performance of tools and software packages
  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by Management
  • Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10G encryptors)

Qualifications

Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians, specialists, and/or managers.
  • Leadership/Management. Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams. Oversees and monitors performance, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
  • Guidance. Directs multiple teams through to project completion. Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, and managers.

Training and Certifications: 

  • DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.
  • Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Ability/ Education

 To be considered you must meet one of the following requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Associates degree from an accredited college and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college and 4 years of relevant experience
  • PhD from an accredited college and 2 years of relevant experience

Required Security, Certification, Licenses and/or Registration

  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Possess documented immigrant status
  • Must be able to successfully pass a government security background check
  • Security +CE Certification

 

 Preferred Certifications (Not required):

  • CCNA (desired)
